Educators without Borders (EWB) organized, on Wednesday September 16th 2020, a virtual lecture titled "Leadership Behavior in Education", by Dr. Hussain AlJohari, Human & Institutional Development Consultant, with more than 70 educators and specialists participating from different countries in the world.

During the session, in which the participants had a great interaction and exchanged their experiences in the educational process, AlJohari stressed on the need for analytical thinking that affects the educational process triangle (Teacher - Student - Parent), in order to reach integration, by balancing Soft & Hard forces in applying leadership behavior.

He explained that hard power is the ability to reach logical solutions in administrative work, while soft power is the ability to implement those solutions and convince others of them, distinguishing at the same time the difference between a successful manager, who adds emotional leadership to his managerial abilities, and a successful leader, who equates his leadership capabilities with more rational management.

AlJohari explained the leadership behavior in the educational process, and the difference between management and leadership in the educational institutions and its impact on the educational system, through the compatibility between leadership and management concepts, whether in economic, educational or other institutions.

He explained the mechanism of successful managerial thinking process by clarifying the concept of leadership behavior and its rules, which is represented by a set of abilities, mental skills, and emotional feelings that ensure its owner a successful management to achieve his goals in the best possible way, giving examples of school management in several fields in the educational process "Schooling".

The educational consultant explained the means of developing knowledge and information regarding the mental field, the abilities and skills in the scientific field, the trends and motives in the emotional field, and the values in the behavioral field.
