Zayed bin Sultan AlNahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works and Educators without Borders (EWB) signed a memorandum of understanding on joint cooperation in the educational fields, on Sunday February 2nd 2020, in the United Arab Emirates capital, Abu Dhabi.

The memorandum was signed by His Excellency Hamad Salem bin Kardous AlAmeri, Director General of Zayed bin Sultan AlNahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works, and Omar Salem Al Braiki, Secretary General of EWB.

The importance of the memorandum is based on cooperation and embodying the fruitful relations between Zayed bin Sultan AlNahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works within the scope of joint charitable and humanitarian work with EWB, and the conviction of the two parties in encouraging and extending charitable, humanitarian, and national work, as well as activating the partnership, and as an inspiration to promote the strategy of the two parties by making a shift Quality, intensification of field presence and openness to institutions, through many means, including the establishment of humanitarian projects, and attention to social and educational issues.

The memorandum aims to lay down a general framework to organize the agreement between the two parties in a way that contributes to effectively coordinating and concerting efforts, upgrading the level of services provided in charitable causes to ensure the achievement of high-quality results, and exchanging knowledge, expertise, opinion and advice to support the charitable activities of both parties.

The two parties decided, according to the articles of the memorandum of understanding, to cooperate with all scientific and practical methods to publish the goals and activities of each to achieve the aimed goal of this memorandum, to implement humanitarian and educational operations, and to cooperate in the field of educational programs within the scope of providing services to students of people with disabilities and qualifying them, and providing schools with educational resources, such as books, curricula, etc., as well asteacher training and rehabilitation to enable them to carry out their tasks effectively to ensure sustainability, and to provide literacy programs.

It is worth mentioning that Zayed Bin Sultan AlNahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works is an institution concerned with providing charitable and humanitarian services within and outside the United Arab Emirates.

Educators without Borders is an international organization based in Geneva, concerned with providing educational services for children in affected regions, and improving training services in crisis areas.
